Reblog: All Ailments Resolve Themselves

Today’s message from Abraham Hicks looks at health and healing.

“All Ailments Resolve Themselves.

All things do resolve themselves, if allowed. All things do.

ALL things do resolve themselves — if allowed.

You say, “Some things resolve themselves,” and you believe that.

And when we say all things resolve themselves, you don’t really believe that.

You want to, but you don’t have personal proof about it.

There’s the belief that says,

“Well, I really don’t believe all things resolve themselves,”

and as you activate that vibration, all kinds of people start showing up with un-resolved things.

But that’s not the evidence you’re wanting to attract.

You’re wanting evidence that says, “All things can resolve themselves.”

Bridge your locked off statement by saying,

“Well, I don’t know how I’ve been disallowing it.

I’ve been doing it without knowing I’m doing it.

But now I am aware that negative emotion means I’m doing it,

and I’m going to start watching for those moments when I’m not allowing it.”

If we were standing in your physical shoes,

we’d lie in bed every night and talk to the cells of our body,

and expect the recovery, and we would feel the sensation of it.

We would put ourselves in as much comfort as we could, as often as we could — for about a week —

aligning Energy, relaxing into the discomfort, talking to the cells,

knowing that they are summoning and that Source Energy is answering,

knowing that we are receiving and allowing; and acknowledging,

“In this moment, I’m not doing anything that’s causing any discomfort in my body.

I feel perfectly comfortable.

I feel such appreciation in this perfectly comfortable moment.

In this mode of distraction, or in this mode of focused comfort,

I’m in this place of appreciation — I’m in this place of allowing.”

(Our attitude would be, “Let me see my physical progress.”)

Just allow yourself to receive what the Universe is offering.

Before you know it, your body will be back in alignment.

Every bit of allowing is going to bring you greater and greater results.

Give the cells of your body an opportunity to make their request;

give yourself the opportunity to receive what the Universal Forces are offering —

and before you know it, your body will be back into alignment.

So many people are convinced that their physical bodies are in a state

— once you reach a certain stage of life — of steady decline.

It is amazing the amount of expectation that is wrapped around that.

And it is absolutely opposite of what you’ve intended,

of what your cells know how to do —

and of what Source Energy is supplying.

You do not need to decline.

It is only your negative expectation — or your worrying about this and that, and the other —

that pinches off the Energy.

You don’t decline because your body wears out.

You decline because you disallow more of the resources that keep you feeling good.

That’s all. Every single time. There are no exceptions to that.

Repost: 17 Differences Between Rich and Poor

923544_522633857793764_2029061548_nMy interest in the Law of Attraction means I inevitably receive a lot of email, most of it designed to sell something to me — a seminar, a video, a book.  I am sure you are not alone.  Email lists are wonderful — except for the way so many of them inevitably are designed to sell you something.  It is one reason, actually, why I defy conventional wisdom and do NOT set up mailing lists of fans or potential fans for my books.  I hate junk email and I’m sure you do too!

This morning I received an email that was clearly designed to sell me a book or something focusing on what rich people do that poor people do not do.  I have no interest in buying whatever they are selling.  But sprinkled among the standard “buy this” fare, the email did contain some useful information, information I am republishing here.

Stripping away the stuff we don’t want, here is the useful things from that email with just ONE “buy my book” link retained as a form of citation:

The process of manifestation states that thoughts lead to feelings, feelings lead to actions, and actions lead to results. Everything in your life begins with your thoughts and your thoughts are generated from your mind.
Therefore it is vital to know how to program your mind so the thoughts you think are supportive thoughts which help you to achieve your financial goals.
The universal truth is that we become what we think about. Buddha also said “All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become”. It’s an obvious fact that if you want to be someone you have to think like that person.
Thinking British is the surest way to become British.

Thinking British is the surest way to become British.

For example if you want to be an engineer, you have to think like an engineer. If you want to be rich, you have to think like the rich. Fortunately the way of thinking can be learnt and practised.
The following are the 17 wealth files which can be found in “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” book.
Wealth File #1:
Rich people believe “I create my life.”
Poor people believe “Life happens to me.”
Wealth File #2:
Rich people play the money game to win.
Poor people play the money game to not lose.
Wealth File #3:
Rich people are committed to being rich.
Poor people want to be rich.

Photo: It’s all in the attitude

923544_522633857793764_2029061548_nI found this fantastic photo on facebook that says it all!

Attitude is everything!  How you choose to interpret events, how you choose to feel about each event in your life decides your future.  You can see either setbacks in your life — or opportunities.  You decide for yourself whether to hold the vision of what you want and trust in the process — or let yourself be discouraged when things develop differently than your expectation.

Remember that the law of attraction finds the EASIEST AND MOST JOYFUL way of doing things.  It knows things your conscious mind does not.  It is like water.  It is the Great River we all live in, carrying us through our lives.

Trust, believe, and know everything is as it should be.  Do not let fear hinder you.  Relax and trust in what the universe is doing and how.

Reblog: You’ve Done the Work

More good stuff from Abraham Hicks.  Today’s post is “You’ve Done the Work.”

You’ve Done The Work

“The thing that we want you to understand is, through all this sorting and sifting, you have done all the asking.

You have made all the decisions, one at a time, and they’re all in your vortex and they’re all queued up.

You’ve done the work!

Now your work is to play on the beach.

Your work is to release resistance.

Your work is to appreciate and bask and find clarity and look for delicious ease and flow.

In other words, your work is to look for feelings that feel good.

Your work is non-work.

Your work is to relax and release. Relax and Release, relax and release.

And it is our promise to you that you will find all of those answers.

They are all queued up. You just gotta get in the vortex!

You’ve gotta stop clinging to what’s out of the vortex.

You gotta loosen your grip on what’s outside the vortex.

You gotta play more.

You gotta laugh.

You gotta release more.

You gotta have more fun.

You gotta think less and you gotta meditate more.

You gotta bask more.

Don’t make it a thinking game, let it be a feeling game.

Then watch what happens.

So much there for you!!! “

Toby's Special School by Victoria Zigler

Starting a new school can be a difficult and scary experience for any child, but when you’re blind it’s even more difficult and scary.
Based on the author’s own experiences, both as the new kid at school and a visually impaired student, as well as the experiences of her blind brother, “Toby’s Special School” is the final book in a five part series by Victoria Zigler that follows a little boy named Toby, who finds himself having to adjust to a world without sight.

Prasutagus, Boudicca, age, and equality

This weekend I did what every learning junkie does:  put on a documentary, put my feet up (especially with a newly broken toe motivating me to behave myself), and relaxed.

Usually I pick documentaries outside of my area of expertise and specific research; it’s more fun that way and I’m less likely to pause the video to tell the birds where I disagree with the video.

Sunday night I deviated from that by watching a documentary about Boudicca.  Whereas I was mostly happy with the program, what disturbed me most about it was the portrayal of King Prasutagus who seemed overly OLD in comparison to Boudicca herself and was depicted as dying quietly in his bed.

Boudicca audio coverWhat’s wrong with that picture?  Well for one it is very Roman.  As I explore in Boudicca:  Britain’s Queen of the Iceni, British and Roman cultures could not be more different.  Celts, especially British Celts, were fiercely independent and egalitarian, especially between women and men.  Women did not lead Celtic clans and tribes as a measure of last resort (think about it:  would Queen Elizabeth II be queen today if her father had produced sons as well, let alone sons OLDER than her?).  Women led as true equals.

The most equal relationships we possess are those where social standing, wealth, and age especially are closely matched.  A married couple with only two or three years age difference is far more equal from the onset than one where one or the other is much older.  This power difference grows when the elder is male and the younger is female — as any younger sister to a much older brother knows!

The ancient Celts fiercely believed in both individualism and equality.  While it’s been argued to me that perhaps Boudicca was his second or third marriage, I find that very unlikely given that his only children were Boudicca’s daughters.  Assuming (and we simply do not know either way) that older siblings were given precedence over younger siblings in inheritance, the sheer fact that Prasutagus named his two daughters by Boudicca his joint heiresses with Nero tells me that Boudicca was his only wife and his daughters (probably twins) by her were his only children.  In light of the Iceni and British values, I find it much more likely that Boudicca and Prasutagus were both in their late teens or early twenties at the time of their marriage, putting them in their early thirties in 60 or 61 CE when Prasutagus died.

So if Prasutagus was no more than 35 at the time of his death, how did he die?

Boudicca play webUnlike the constantly promoted idea of a quiet death in his bed, I find a violent death much more likely, especially at the hands of Rome, the situation you see presented in Boudicca:  Britain’s Queen of the Iceni and even more poignantly in Boudicca:  A Play in Three Acts.  Once Prasutagus notified the bloodthirsty and ambitious Governor Gaius Suetonius Paullinus of the contents in his last will and testament (giving half his kingdom to Nero), Prasutagus essentially forfeited his value in the eyes of Rome.  He became much more valuable dead than alive, a bounty a man like Suetonius Paullinus would find irresistible.

Therefore I contest what I see others writing about Boudicca and Prasutagus.  Instead of the good Roman patrician taking a wife young enough to be his own daughter, I see Prasutagus as the Briton he was:  an equal partner with his wife, religiously devout to British goddesses and gods like The Morrigan and Camulos, humble before druid judges, teachers, and law givers, and very much a champion to his people.  Prasutagus was, fundamentally, British caught between what he felt he could do in the face of Roman military strength and what he believed in.

His was a struggle we can all related to — and a battle still waiting to be won.

Character profile: Lord Knight Elendir (Peers of Beinan)

Ghosts of the Past cover name whiteCharacter name:  Lord Knight Elendir of house Ten-Ar

Parents:  Lord Healer Devon of house Ten-Ar, Lady Healer Keelia of house Ten-Ar

Date of Birth: BE 6767, beinor 50

Place of Birth:  An-Men Ten-Ar Healing Center in the capital city of Hejing

Books appearing in:  The Great Succession Crisis (prologue only), The Ghosts of the Past (central character), Princess Anyu Returns (central character)

Profile:  a flawed hero, we first meet Elendir just shir-ors after his birth.  After losing first his father, then his mother to terrorist attacks, Elendir grows up in the Ten-Arian monastery, ever watchful of his younger sister, Althea who is brought up along a similar path among the healers of house Ten-Ar.

As a young man, Elendir finds himself vulnerable to his hormones, easily manipulated by shrewd and intelligent women bent on distracting Elendir from his quest to solve the mystery of his father’s death in hopes of finding peace.  This vulnerability threatens to destroy planet Beinan in ways Elendir himself fails to recognize until it is almost too late.

Across The Ghosts of the Past Elendir grows personally, eventually finding peace, marrying, and becoming a father himself to his son Corann.

Like most Beinarians, Elendir is grey-eyed but develops brown eye syndrome (named for its discoloring effects on the iris), an eye disease caused by exposure to argun ore and to argene that destroys two of the five photo receptors in Beinarian eyes, rendering him partially visually disabled and brown-eyed.

ninth-and-tenth-doctorIdeal actor to play Elendir in a film adaptation:  Dr Who alumni David Tennant and Christopher Eccleston would both make fantastic choices as Elendir.  Eccleston in particular has the stage presence and subtly to convey Elendir over the long span of his life covered in Ghosts of the Past.
